If there’s anyone out there that has been loyal enough to have kept up with my blog from the beginning, you’ve seen the few photographs I’ve taken of my extremely presentable and high end restaurant worthy barely editable looking dishes. I now bring you all some photos from one of my most recent dishes: Lattice Top Cherry Pie! And yes I know you all want to congratulate me for picking something so original.
This time I thought I would include the recipe as well. So here’s what you’ll need:
Any good pie crust recipe. Here’s what mind consisted of.
• 1/4 cup of ice water
• 1 teaspoon of salt
• 2 cups of all-purpose-flour
• 1 cup of vegetable shortening
Cherry Pie Filling. I was lazy and bought mine from Superstore.
Dividing the dough in two I used half of it to line the bottom of the pie sheet and the other half I made the lattice crust by weaving strips of dough on top.
After you’re done stick it in a preheated 375 degree oven for about an hour. Here were the results of mine. I just want to say that it was my first time making pie with a lattice top so I know that it looks kinda sloppy, but I THINK it turned out alright.

To everyone who actually read this little blog of mine and to those that don’t, I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! And I really do thank you all because if it wasn’t for you guys I wouldn’t have the heart to update this thing.
Wish I had taken some nice Christmas themed picture to show you guys, but I’ll be sure to have something in time for New Years.
Looking for an alternative studio to get your grad portraits done other than Artona or Evangelos? You can now get them done here at our studio!
Although we don’t have access to as many backdrop canvases (although this may change), we’ll be sure to make it up by giving you the guidance and focused attention that you usually don’t get from a commercial studio. Because there’s usually no need to rush to take pictures for the next student in line, we can take our time and make sure you walk away with the results you’re paying for.
Below are some of the photos from a shoot for a friend who graduated from UBC a year ago but chose not to have his grad pictures taken at a commercial studio.

Since we weren’t in any rush we decided to have some fun with our session.
Graduation portraits with formal regalia are currently only available for UBC students and hoods are not available for every faculty color. Please inquire to see if both your faculty color and gown size are available.
