For those of you who know me well, you’ll probably remember that, other than photography, ballroom dance is something I really enjoy. This past weekend I competed for the first time in months at the 16th Annual Grand Ball in Richmond which was held at the Grand Ballroom. I competed in the Latin Pre-bronze and Bronze category this time around. Did alright in Pre-bronze by coming in second but didn’t manage to make it into the finals for Bronze. However, I had a lot of fun and I look forward to my next competition!
Aside from competing, it was definitely a treat to have some of the best dancers from around the world come to compete alongside our local BC couples. And of course, being the shutterbug that I am, I took the liberty of snapping some pictures of competition.
A note to competitors, I was only around on the Saturday of this 3-day competition so I wasn’t around to cover Friday nor Sunday.
