One of the inconvenient truths about photography gear is that it’s a lot cheaper to get from the States than within Canada. Depending on what you buy it might cost you twice as much, so sometimes it’s a better option to purchase your stuff online from a US dealer. However there’s usually one small problem: you end up having to pay a small fortune in shipping fees. What some people do to get around this is to buy something online with another photographer and split the fees. If that option isn’t available, you can have all your stuff shipped to Tsb Shipping Plus, located in Point Roberts Washington, and drive down to pick up your stuff. That way you would pay US shipping fees, which are MUCH cheaper and you won’t have to worry about those lovely brokerage or duty fees either. The obvious downside is that you’ll have to drive out quite far to pick up your stuff, so you’ll need to weigh the costs of and benefits of both your shipping options before deciding.
