It was a privilege to be commissioned by Unit4, a global leader in enterprise cloud software, to document their X4U customer conference in Vancouver, BC. Held at the Fairmont Waterfront, this event served as a major reunion for Unit4’s customers and partners, centering around the themes of Customer Success and the Future of Work.
The atmosphere was sophisticated and intellectually vibrant, balancing high-level keynote insights with the genuine excitement of a community gathering in person for the first time in years.
As the Vancouver event photographer for X4U, my focus was on capturing the polished, "luxury product" aesthetic that defines the Unit4 brand. I concentrated on securing clean, editorial-style shots of every speaker and fireside chat participant, ensuring the client had high-quality imagery for immediate PR and press use.
Beyond the main stage, I dedicated significant attention to corporate event photography techniques that highlight engagement—capturing the candid, energetic interactions during networking breaks, the focused attention during breakout sessions, and the buzz of the closing reception.
The final gallery provided Unit4 with a rich visual archive designed to extend the lifespan of the event.
These conference photography assets were curated to support specific business goals: fueling social media campaigns, enhancing website content, and creating marketing materials to drive attendance for future conferences.
The images not only documented the day but effectively communicated the energy, scale, and success of the X4U experience to the wider world.
